Combustion of solid fuels

The combustion of solid fuel packages can be divided into several situations
Solid combustion is divided into two categories.
One type is the combustion of evaporation/sublimation gases, where the combustion rate depends on the volatilization rate, such as the combustion of naphthalene;
The second type is direct combustion of solids, and the combustion rate depends on the speed at which air invades the solids, such as coke combustion, dust combustion or explosion.
1. Surface combustion: The combustion reaction takes place on the surface of the fuel, usually in fuels that contain almost no volatile matter, such as the combustion of charcoal surface.
2. Decomposition and combustion: When the pyrolysis temperature of the fuel is low, the volatiles produced by pyrolysis are analyzed and react with oxygen in the gas phase to burn.
The combustion process of biomass belongs to decomposition combustion.
3. Evaporation combustion: mainly occurs in solid fuels with low melting points. The fuel first melts into liquid before combustion, and then evaporates and burns.
Solid is a state of aggregation of matter. Compared with liquid and gas, solid has a relatively fixed volume and shape, and is harder in texture.
