How to burn scented candles correctly

People often ask: Why can't my candles burn out into a smooth and beautiful wax pool? In fact, there are many things to pay attention to when burning scented candles. Knowing how to burn scented candles not only makes them look good, but also effectively prolongs their burning time.
1. The first burn is very critical!
If you want the aromatherapy candle to burn beautifully, try to have a flat melted wax pool every time you burn it before extinguishing it, especially when you burn it for the first time. The wax next to the wick will be loose and not tight after each burning. If the melting point of the wax material is high, the wick is not well matched, and the ambient temperature is low, the candle will burn deeper and deeper as the number of blowing increases.
The first burning time is not consistent, and varies according to the size of the candle, but generally does not exceed 4 hours.
2. Trim the wick
Depending on the type of wick and the quality of the candle, it may be necessary to trim the wick. However, except for wooden wicks, cotton wicks and environmentally friendly wicks are generally longer when they leave the factory. They need to be trimmed before the first burning, leaving a length of about 8mm. After each subsequent burning, if the wick is too long, it needs to be trimmed appropriately.
If the wick is too long, the candle will be consumed quickly. Trimming it can make the candle last longer. Moreover, if it is not trimmed, the wick is easy to form carbon and produce black smoke, and the candle cup wall is easy to be blackened.
3. Straighten the candle wick after each burn .
Because most candle wicks are made of cotton, a disadvantage of cotton candle wicks is that they are easily skewed during the burning process. Foreign environmentally friendly candle wicks are made harder by adding paper. Once the candle wick is skewed and not straightened, the candle flame will be skewed, which will eventually cause the wax on both sides of the candle to melt at different speeds, making it difficult to burn a flat wax pool.
4. Each burning time should not exceed 4 hours
The burning time of scented candles should not exceed 4 hours at a time. If it exceeds 4 hours, it will easily cause problems such as mushroom heads, black smoke, and overheating of the container. This is especially obvious for imported candles.
5. Keep the lid closed when not burning
When the scented candle is not burning, it is best to cover it with a lid. If it is left open outside, it is not only easy to collect dust, but the bigger problem is that the fragrance is easy to lose. If you don't want to spend money to buy a lid, you can also keep the candle box, put the candle back into the box when not in use, and store it in a cool and dry cabinet. Some candles come with a lid.
